Description
Trauma dysregulates our nervous system, pushing us to the point where we struggle to regulate our experiences and emotions. Modalities that work with the body can provide tools that calm and regulate the nervous system to treat somatic symptoms and triggers to help us find a place of emotional homeostasis.This program can help you equip yourself with the tools needed to release yourself from the symptoms of trauma that may be debilitating. For practitioners, this program can equip you with the tools to confidently help your clients living with a dysregulated nervous system.In this course you can explore Ten neuroplasticity exercises which draw from different healing modalities such as Qigong, neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), drama therapy, hypnosis, and Ujjayi breathing. These research backed exercises aim to provide survivors with gentle body-based techniques to calm the nervous system and re-establish a sense of power and dignity. These daily exercises were designed to address common difficulties associated with trauma such as sleep cycle disruptions, paranoia, and anxiety. These exercises are accompanied by four theory modules which provide psychoeducation on the body’s response to trauma, techniques for healing, the role of the nervous system, and utilizing Brainspotting techniques to calm your nervous system.We’re grateful to have you part of the Rewire Therapy Community.
