Student will learn how to test and compare the meshes
Learn difference between pressure and density based solver type in the Ansys Fluent
Learn what to do when there is a converge problem during solving session
This is course#4. There are total 10 courses(#1 through #10). Please check them as well.
Requirements
Basic Engineering Knowledge
Powerful computer has an Ansys Fluent installed
Description
Ansys Space Claim(Creating Model)= Creating 3D Model from scratch with using tools such as sketch creation, pull, blend,Split body, move, do practice with assembly model, and detailing the drawings.
Workshop
Completion of this workshop will help to gain an understanding of:
•Modes available in Space-Claim
•The concept of “Planes”
•Creating sketches
•The available modeling tools
•Advanced features in the Structure Tree
•The display Tab
Ansys Meshing( Meshing Method)= Learn difference between the Main Meshing method such as Tetrahedral(Patch Conforming and Patch Independent) and Hex Meshing(Sweept, Multizone ,Hex dominant) and learn how to recording the meshing
Workshop
This workshop will introduce different meshing methods available in ANSYS Meshing
Objectives
Testing and comparing the mesh generated by the different methods:
Automatic (Tet Patch Conforming)
Multizone
Decomposition for Sweep Meshes
-Automatic (Tet & Sweep)
Ansys Fluent(Solver)=how to specify the solver and choose methods and controls, how to initialize the solutions, how to use the report definitions to monitor and judge converge and talk details in Solving Ribbon such as Method, Controls, residuals, initialization, Calculate section and converge criteria.Doing more practice with Workshop model section.
