If you feel like your heart center is closed and there is no flow of love and you want to open your heart, do this mediation. When your heart center is open you are present in your life and can have the experience of things “flowing.” P) The heart chakra is also known as “Anahata” which in Sanskrit means “unstruck”,referring to the ability to have unconditional love. As love is our true essence. When your heart center is fully activated there is no clinginess or possessiveness. There is trust. There is no limit to the amount of love you are willing to give and to recieve from others. P)
At the core of loneliness, depression, fear of intimacy, clinginess and jealousy is a lack of love within and for ourselves. We forget when our hearts are closed, that we already have everything we need within ourselves. If we are having problems attracting the type of people we want in our lives, often times it can be because we are unconsciously relating to others and the world from a place of fear and insecurity, which takes away from our ability to act from love. This meditation will help open the heart so that you can live in the flow of love instead of fear. P) To practice this meditation, sit in a gentle cross-legged position. You may also sit in a chair with the feet planted firmly on the ground. The spine is straight with the chin slightly tucked in. The eyes are closed and focused at the third eye.
The mantra used is “Sat Kartaar” which calls upon the infinite truth or soul essence within ourselves to shift and create action. It is essentially opening, expanding and directing the flow of love from our heart center. It clears blocks of the heart. As you say, “Sat” the hands are pressed together in prayer pose at your sternum, heart center. As you say, “Kar”, the hands are extended out from the shoulders, half-way towards the final position, with your fingers are pointing straight up. As you say, “Taar”, the arms are fully extended out to the sides and parallel to the floor, fingers pointing up. Make the transition from step to step a flowing movement.
