Hello there.
In this step-by-step course, we will mainly focus on the sheet metal environment in Autodesk Inventor.
We will start by taking a look at how to get into the sheet metal environment and work our way to set up the sheet metal defaults. Then, we will create a standard sheet metal part and will cover the basic tools needed, such as face, flange, corner seam, and so on.
Next, we will look at how to convert a solid body to a sheet metal part by modeling a die, and we will also learn which tools you should use in order to do that.
Closer to the end of this course, we will also cover how to create another panel by using the contour flange tool. By using this contour flange tool, a panel can, in some cases, be easier and faster created than with the typical tools.
Finally, we will look at a few more important tips and tricks you need to know in order to be able to create a more complex sheet metal part, such as unfold, refold, corner chamfer, and more.
