In this course we cover all elements of Demand Planning. The following modules make up this course;Introduction – we discuss the different elements of demand planning including procurement, equipment forecasting, labour units, operations requirements, logistics, etcModule 1 – Historical Data – the importance of accurate historical data and its relevance to current data,Module 2 – Customer – understanding the customer order patterns and when to query anomalies,Module 3 – Logistics – lead time implications on demand planning and when to call out anomaly impacts to BAUModule 4 – Facilities – how the facilities can impact demand planning and how to apply limitations imposed,Module 5 – Measurement – understanding the outputs of the functions and processes can assist with the demand planning activity,Module 6 – Operations – knowing the operations elements and their capabilities will provide the demand planner in knowing TMP and when to adjust,Module 7 – Labour – The demand planner will learn at what ratio to maintain full time employees and and when to engage casual labour,Module 8 – Asset Management – understand machine operation capacities and convert this to labour units,Module 9 – Communications – Demand Planners need to call out early any changes in planning requirements based on changes perceived or actual.Students engaging with this course will have a more structured approach to demand planning and will stand out amongst their peers.
