Description
If you have access to a Glowforge or any laser cutter that can read SVG files, here are 12 fun toys you can make. I will provide the SVG files with laser settings for engrave, score, and cut. Then I provide build instructions for each toy. These projects require 1/8 inch thick plywood, and some have acrylic options because laser cutting is fun! You’ll need glue and other craft supplies to build all twelve projects.
What this course is not… this course is not a step by step tutorial on how to use a Glowforge for the very first time. If you have never used a laser cutter, this course may be just a bit too advanced. Maybe it would be best to first take my course: Learn Inkscape For Glowforge before you play with these toys. The files in this course are provided for those who are proficient with a laser cutter and want access to fun patterns and the instructions how to build and use them. If all you really need is the SVG file and the cut/engrave/score order, you’re gonna have fun making these toys!
These 12 JEMTOYs are the most popular designs from my web site. This course gets you all 12 toys for under half what they would cost individually. For the first time ever the top dozen JEMTOYs are offered here together as a little toy making course. You can make these toys in any order you wish. Feel free to customize the design. I ask that you do not resell or share the digital SVG files you downloaded. To complete these 12 toys all you need is a laser cutter that reads SVG files, and maybe an elf or two.
Please exercise caution and provide parental supervision when needed. Laser cut parts can be quite small and pose a choking hazard. Please do not get hurt playing with these toys. You know who you are!
