Texting has, in the 21st century, become the most common and convenient form of communication known to man. Everyone and their mother does it now. Women of all ages love to text, and do it constantly throughout the day. And why not? It’s easy to do, only takes a minute, is non-intrusive, and saves time. So if women love to do it, guys should at least know the basics about how to do it. So many times I see guys with awful texts messages to girls, and I wonder what exactly goes on in their heads. This is not rocket science here, but some basic knowledge of the skill must be taught. For god sakes, “Wat u up 2” is not going to get you a woman! Unless of course your 15 years old, and all the other kids are talking like that. But you are not a kid anymore and that is not attractive.
So rule number one for texting is to spell your words correctly! This should be a given, but for some reason, just because it’s a text message some guys think they do not have to adhere to the rules of the English language. I’ve seen all sorts of wacky misspelled words. They’ll even go out of their way to spell something wrong, as if it’s cool to do so. It is not. Women are turned off by this, and they see you as unintelligent and already beneath them, if you have just met them. It’s like going to an interview dressed in swim shorts and a tank top. They are just not going to take you serious when you cannot correctly communicate with them.
No more “Wat”, or “Hay” or “cewl” or “2moro”, this just won’t cut it anymore! It is okay however to spell an occasional word wrong playfully, and only after you’ve demonstrated that you have a good understanding of the language. An example can be something like “Yooo kiddo how are you?” or “I know it was nice to meet you too sexyyy.” Or even “Sup ____ it was great to meet you” etc. At this point obvious words like these or words that kind of exaggerate something, by adding the extra letters in are okay. It is clear you are either joking around with her, and/or are trying to emphasize something. So feel free to do this.
