Description
Using the ancient techniques of yoga and meditation and more recent theories and methods to work on your mindset, learn how to navigate our ever-changing world by building your own stores of resilience. Once you have these reserves no one can take them from you and you will be equipped to weather all storms. As Albert Einstein said “The only thing we can be certain of in this life is that we can be certain of nothing.” In this very practical course Serena will take you through an Introduction to Resilience and the skills we need to build that. Then in three sections entitled Body, Mind and Spirit, she will give you practices, information and exercises to reconnect with your body, through yoga asana (postures), breath work and relaxation. We will explore growth vs fixed mindset and how we each relate to that concept and finally we will experience different types of meditation and see how meditation relates to brain function. We are living in such volatile times and often the bad news we hear, the injustices we see and the everyday load we each carry can lead to most people living with some level of stress and anxiety and without methods to counter that. If that sounds familiar and you are looking for coping strategies that you can call upon whenever you need them, then this is the course for you.Serena’s style is easy going and friendly, you can take it at your own pace and she recommends really taking the time to experience the practices that she offers. After that be sure to use them regularly so that these tools become your own and you intuitively know when to draw upon them.Use this training as a way to slow down, pause and fully enjoy the journey.
